In his pursuit of musical brilliance, Davido has unquestionably attained a stunning array of accomplishments over the course of his career. But there’s still one thing he needs to do for his supporters right now: get on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Given that the United States is the music industry’s global hub and that the Billboard Hot 100 serves as the standard for measuring success on a global scale, this specific achievement might be significant.

African musicians, particularly those from Nigeria, have been particularly affected by this trend because they now see a place on the Billboard Hot 100 as a clear indicator of their level of accomplishment on the global stage. Notably, a number of musicians, including Burna Boy, Wizkid, Rema, CKay, Tems, Fireboy DML, Amaarae, and Libianca, have accomplished the incredible achievement of landing spots on the Billboard Hot 100, enhancing their level of popularity around the world.

Davido’s discography is notable for its lack of a Billboard Hot 100 inclusion, which has led some to reflect on the current course of his career. It is only logical to assume that this omission is only a transitory condition of affairs given his extraordinary abilities and unwavering dedication. With songs that have resonated with listeners all over the world and tracks that have traveled across enormous geographic landscapes, Davido’s most recent album, Timeless, is clearly the apex of his artistic career. Despite this widespread popularity, the initiative has found it difficult to break into the coveted American market.  However, Davido has an exceptionally excellent track record in the US, having previously received RIAA platinum and gold certifications for the chart-topping singles “Fall” and “If”, respectively.

Davido has taken a determined measure to close this gap and broaden the appeal of his music to the American market: he has published a remix of his popular song, “Unavailable,” a highlight piece from his Timeless album. While keeping the soulful vocals of South African singer Musa Keys, this remix is notable for the contribution of American rapper Latto. The co-production skills of Magicsticks and Rage were utilized in a collaborative effort to expertly build the musical landscape of this remix.

This remix, latent with anticipation, skilfully infuses the already engaging music with Latto’s distinctive charm, adding a unique dimension. The goal of this cooperation is to combine Latto’s distinctive style with the rich and bright flavors of Afrobeats, resulting in an amalgam that is not only musically captivating but also able to resonate with a wide variety of listeners. Davido hopes to further promote Unavailable to American audiences through this remix, utilizing the power of cross-cultural cooperation to maybe break into the enormous market.
