With very minor injuries, Nigerian singer Yemi Alade has revealed that she was recently involved in a car accident.
With thanks to God that she only suffered minor injuries, she shared details of the mishap on her Instagram account. Throughout her trip, she mentioned that the vehicle collision happened somewhere between Barcelona and Benicassim in Spain or so.
The “Johnny” singer added that she broke nail, though fortunately the only wound from the hit, was the first thing viewers saw when they watched the footage she had uploaded to page. “It appears that you have been involved in a collision,” read the message that was flashed on Alade’s iPhone after the collision. Furthermore, medical professionals were observed taking her blood pressure.
According to Alade, there were other issues that day in addition to the crash that happened on August 17, 2023. She disclosed that, having performed barely seven hours after the crash, she also suffered from fatigue as a side effect. The singer complained in the video that she uploaded that she couldn’t raise her arm, and then paramedics checked on her once again.
Her caption read, “On the 17th of August, we were in a car crash, somewhere between Barcelona and Benicassim in Spain at 12:06(noon). I also experienced a minor medical emergency from exhaustion after performing on stage 7 hours after the incident on the same day.”
Refusing to be brought down by the accident, the entertainer noted that she still had a great time at the after-party after her performance. She went on to express her profound gratitude to God for his protection.
In her words, “Somehow, I ended up at the “after party” (leave me o. my mind needed positive vibrations). Life is for the living… I didn’t want to put this out, but the devil had other plans, but my Jehovah jiray said NO! The blood of Jesus spoke for us. I only lost a nail, it all happened suddenly, Nothing is too sudden or complicated for God. His Grace is more than sufficient.”
Alade has since received overwhelming support and prayers from friends, loved ones, and fellow celebrities expressing concern over her wellbeing.
